Más de 70 personas trabajando juntas por una misma causa, más de 680 kg de basura recogidos de playas y océanos. Una vez más, el 8 de Junio, día mundial de los Océanos, fue un día exitoso para Malapascua. Pero tenemos que decir que queda mucho trabajo por hacer; concienciar a la población y todos sus visitantes de uno de los problemas más grandes que sufre la isla (la basura), reducir el consumo incontrolado de plásticos de un solo uso, y mejorar el servicio de recogida de basuras, son los siguientes pasos para que la isla no se inunde en basura.

Nuestros agradecimientos a, a la Municipalidad de Daanbantayan por facilitar la recogida de basura en Maya, al Barangay de Logon (Malapascua), por su participación, colaboración y organización y un año mas a Villa Sandra GuestHouse, por la participación y su contribución con los snacks y devolvernos las energías después de la limpieza de playa.
