Malapascua diving
The thresher shark capital of the Philippines. Private transfers, a beachfront stay, and three full days of diving with a local partner dive center — local reefs, daily shark encounters, and a day trip to Gato island.
Itinerary
Private taxi from Cebu airport to Maya port, then a private boat crossing to Malapascua island. Check in, welcome briefing, evening at leisure.
A gentle start exploring the island’s house reefs and nearby sites — walls, slopes, and macro life.
Early departure for the signature encounter — thresher sharks at their cleaning stations, with a chance of tiger sharks and other pelagics.
A day trip to Gato island’s tunnels, swim-throughs, and resident sea snakes and whitetip reef sharks, with lunch prepared aboard.
A rest morning respecting the 24-hour no-fly window after diving, then private boat and taxi back to Cebu airport. A 6th day can be added as a buffer or extra leisure day.

Moalboal
Moalboal is one of the rare destinations worldwide where divers can experience being surrounded by sardines. The resident sardine population in Moalboal is the second largest globally, only surpassed by the Sardine Run in South Africa/Mozambique. Diving with these sardines is undoubtedly a must-do experience for any diver visiting the Philippines. Additionally, just a 20-minute boat ride from Moalboal is Pescador Island, renowned for its remarkable marine diversity and the spectacular cavern known as «The Cathedral,» which extends from 18 meters to 30 meters in depth. Another of our favorite dive sites is Talisay Wall, which is abundant with marine life and a favorite spot for the resident green turtles.
Malapascua
Malapascua Island is renowned for its thresher shark diving, but this is not the only reason to dive there. Since the global pandemic, Malapascua has emerged as one of the premier shark diving destinations in the Philippines, if not the best. Here, divers can encounter several shark species, including thresher sharks, tiger sharks, white tip sharks, and black tip sharks. In addition to shark diving, Malapascua is also celebrated for its diverse marine life and the exceptional dive sites at Gato Island, which boast some of the most spectacular seascapes in the Philippines. The dive sites around the island are also excellent spots for macro diving.

Yes, you should be a certified diver. Our trips are open to all levels, but we always recommend being an Advanced Open Water (AOW) diver to get the most out of our dive sites. If you’re not yet certified, you can also complete your diving course with us during the trip, and we offer introductory dives for beginners. Let us know your experience level when you contact us, and we’ll recommend the right sites and dive plan for you.
Our trips take place around the Visayas Region, home to our favorite diving spots, so the price depends on how long you’d like to stay and which destinations you choose. We offer different packages based on trip length and destination — the best way to get an accurate quote is to consult our packages directly via WhatsApp.
Our diving trips are full packages, covering everything you need from the moment you arrive at Mactan-Cebu Airport until your trip ends — we take care of the logistics so you can simply enjoy your holiday.

At Dive4Help.org, we always promote solidarity and marine-awareness diving. Every trip you take with us makes you part of the projects and NGOs we support — your dive becomes part of a movement working toward a better world. When you book a trip with us, you directly contribute to our Citizen Science project and help it grow, and you’re welcome to take part in the data collection yourself during your dives.
Our Citizen Science project is an ongoing initiative where divers help us monitor marine life across the Philippines. As passionate nudibranch enthusiasts, we’re currently focused on monitoring nudibranch species, though we hope to expand into other marine life soon. All data collected through the project supports local conservation efforts.
At the moment, we’re not accepting monetary donations, as we don’t currently have an active field project collecting them. The best way to support our work right now is by joining a dive trip — this helps fund our Citizen Science project, and you can take part in it yourself while you’re here.
Yes. Safety is one of the main criteria we use when selecting our partner dive centers, including boat and equipment conditions and dive briefings. We also enforce a strict buddy system, carry oxygen and first aid kits on board, and follow agreed depth and time limits with slow ascents and safety stops. Our dive leaders hold PADI Divemaster/Instructor certification (or equivalent), and our crew, instructors, and divemasters maintain up-to-date first aid, CPR, and oxygen administration training.
As a reminder, every diver is ultimately responsible for their own safety and for diving within their limits.
Most dive spots around the Visayas can be enjoyed year-round, though the calmest seas are typically from November to May. That said, weather is beyond our control, and conditions in the Philippines can be unpredictable.
